PRIMA is an Australian allied healthcare and technology company that specialises in the nationwide remote delivery of multi-disciplinary weight and lifestyle related health management products and programs, including the Healthy Weight For Life™ programs.
We are passionate about partnering with patients in their healthcare journey and helping them achieve personally meaningful and measurable improvements in their health and quality of life.
Our expert team has a particular interest in helping patients with knee and hip osteoarthritis, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and heart health risk factors.
Our programs are highly regarded with the outcome data being published in international peer reviewed medical journals, cited as reference sources in further medical publications and the most recent Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Guidelines For the Management of Knee and Hip Osteoarthritis.
We are currently contracted to provide one or more of these specialised programs for eligible members of most Australian private health insurance funds including HCF, BUPA, nib, HBF and 20 member funds of the Australian Health Services Alliance. Combined, these health funds cover approximately 75% of all privately insured Australians.
On April 1 2022 Honeysuckle Health acquired 100% of the ownership of Prima resulting in Prima becoming a subsidiary of Honeysuckle Health.
Honeysuckle Health is a health services company that develops and delivers digital and telephonic chronic disease management and preventative health programs, health services contracting and healthcare analytics. The two businesses complement each other well and share a vision of creating “better pathways to better health” presenting a fantastic opportunity to increase support and access to Australians living with a chronic disease.
Importantly, the whole Prima team (management, clinical, administration and logistics) continue ‘business as usual’ and remain dedicated to the ongoing delivery of our Healthy Weight For Life and Stand Up To Joint Pain programs.
PrimaLinx™ is the powerful and innovative software platform developed by PRIMA specifically to underpin the effective and efficient delivery of every aspect of our disease management programs. Our software enables large numbers of patients to be personally engaged, monitored and managed to achieve measurable and meaningful clinical outcomes.
